The poem makes me feel sad. In the poem the girl says that ice cream tastes like halibut which shows me she is feeling lonely and sad that her friend is gone. This makes me feel sad for her. In my own life it reminds me of when I went to visit my cousin and then I had to go home after the weekend of playing with them. I felt a little sad that day.
